My 2018 New Years Resolutions

In my previous post I recapped some major things that happened in my life in 2017 and why it has been my favorite year yet. This post is all about what I want to accomplish in 2018. Below are my New Years resolutions and hopefully by sharing them I will hold myself more accountable. If any of you have similar resolutions and goals I would love to hear them and we can do them together!

Complete BBG without stopping: I am an active person but I will be honest. I don’t enjoy working out. I love the feeling after I complete a workout, but the actual workout itself is not enjoyable for me. I have tried every type of workout you can imagine, but still dread going. I would much rather come home after a long day of work and lay on the couch with a glass of wine. I started BBG a few moths ago, but with my birthday and the holidays I completely dropped the ball. My goal us to start back up again in the New Year and complete the full 12 weeks. If any of you are planning to start BBG please let me know and we can hold each other accountable!

Budget: I want to be better about saving money, but also keeping track of what I am spending my money on. In the past I haven’t done a great job at budgeting. I have always just kept an eye on my accounts and made sure to put money away into my savings. In 2018 my goal is to put together a full budget with all of my expenses and keep track of exactly what my money is going towards.

Plan a trip somewhere new: Going to the Maldives for our honeymoon was such an amazing adventure and it has given me an itch to keep traveling to new places. Kevin and I both decided we will travel somewhere new this year. If you have any suggestions please throw them my way!

Take a stab at videos/tutorials: You would think that since I am putting my life out there in front of everyone to see that I wouldn’t be shy or self-conscious. The truth is I often times doubt myself which is a huge reason why I have held back from trying videos and tutorials for you guys, even though I get requests for them all the time! This year I am going to try to muster up the courage and see how it goes! Does anyone else absolutely hate listening to their own voice? I feel like I can’t escape the valley girl accent for the life of me!

Organize my week every Sunday: In general I am a very organized person. I love to have things in order and 90% of the time my house is clean and tidy. When it comes to content for my blog, I feel like a lot of times I am planning things on a whim (part of it is because I have a full time job). In 2018 my goal is to plan out each week, or even month if possible, ahead of time so that I feel more in control. I feel like this easy change will make my life so much easier and it will allow me to spend more quality time with Kevin during the week.

Landscape our home: If you have been following me for a while, you know that Kevin and I just bought our first home back in October. We absolutely love our new place and we are very lucky that it was move-in-ready when we purchased it. One project that we would both like to compete this year is new landscaping in the front and back yard. Since we live in San Diego, we get to spend most of the year outdoors and we love to entertain and BBQ. It will be so nice to design a space that we both love!

I am excited to see what 2018 has in store for me and Sprinkles on Sunday! I can’t thank you enough for following along and I am so grateful for your support!  Have a very happy New Year!
